For my next sewing project I had found this plaid material at Salvation Army. I thought it would make a cool jacket. A messy heap. Getting there. Finished. I originally had red buttons but the store I bought them at said the company no longer made them. So I had to switch to white.
The back. I put a cute polka dot liner on the inside.
holy cow! great jacket :) ps: i bought one of your new mint tins at wal-mart and now I'm bragging about you. The tins are really cool and the design probably appeals to a bigger target market. great work :)
and how sad that you guys have to leave beautiful NZ. tho it was definitely a great experience all the same i bet for you'ins. :) g'luck with the moving!
I used one of my coats as a guide. But actually I didn't see one of the side panels and so it's a tiny bit small. I didn't have enough material to make two more panels.

Sarah - Thats awesome you were able to find the mints! Glad you like them.
Kelly - No pattern. No sewing machine. NZ was amazing. I'm glad we were able to do it, but I'm ready to get back as well.
wow! that's some mad sewing skills. how did you go about figuring out how to make it?
